Dr. Hunter is an inspiration to all who dream of becoming something more.

When Jerry Hunter was a young child she told her father,
I want to be a nurse. Being a very wise man, who understood and embraced his daughter's potential, her father replied,
No honey, you want to be a doctor. So, that's exactly what she did.

At age 45, Dr. Jerry Hunter went back to school and by age 50, had received her Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and her Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Maryland. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at the Washington Hospital Center (Washington, D.C.) and is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hunter has been a private practitioner in the Howard County area for over 15 years.

Convenient Care is an Urgent Care model based on a system developed by Dr. Hunter who worked for and experienced the dysfunction of other Urgent Care Centers. Dr. Hunter’s system will advance patient care, enhance the doctor patient relationship, and improve the productivity of physicians who work for Convenient Care.

Dr. Hunter has been a high school teacher, a vice-president of an environmental products company and an Industrial Hygienist for the University of Maryland Department of Environmental Safety.

Dr. Hunter is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bacteriology. She also holds a Master of Arts from Catholic University of America.
